MyIP.help is a free online service for instant IP address geolocation and WHOIS lookup. We help you find your public IPv4 and IPv6 addresses with detailed location, network, and ownership information — all in one place, without registration.

What You Can Do

Geolocation Databases

We cross-reference 4 independent geolocation databases to provide the most accurate results:

  • MaxMind GeoLite2 — industry-standard geolocation database used by thousands of companies worldwide. Provides country, city, coordinates, timezone, and ISP data.
  • IP2Location LITE — comprehensive database with detailed IP geolocation, ISP, and ASN information. Supports both IPv4 and IPv6.
  • Sypex Geo — fast and lightweight geolocation database with good coverage of CIS countries. IPv4 only.
  • DB-IP Lite — community-driven geolocation database providing country, city, and coordinate data for IP addresses worldwide.

By comparing results from all four sources, you can evaluate the accuracy and consistency of geolocation data for any IP address.

How It Works

When you visit MyIP.help, our servers automatically detect the IP addresses your device uses to connect to the internet. We then query all four geolocation databases and display consolidated results along with a map.

For domain lookups, we resolve the domain to its IP address via DNS, perform geolocation on the resolved IP, and simultaneously retrieve WHOIS registration data.

Data Accuracy

IP geolocation is based on the location of your internet provider's infrastructure, not your exact physical location. Factors like VPN usage, mobile networks, and ISP topology can affect accuracy. Comparing data across four databases helps identify the most reliable result.
